Poker is a card game that is played in casinos, private homes, and online. Players may bet or raise the pot using a variety of strategies. The player who makes the highest hand wins. Most poker variants require players to bet or raise the pot. Usually, the minimum ante is a specified amount of money, or bet, and the maximum amount is a set limit. Occasionally, a player is required to contribute to the pot before the game even begins.
